Based on 155 reviewsSchim:Pause is widely praised for its exceptional coffee, noted for rich, flavorful beans sourced from a reputable Leipzig roastery. The café’s cozy and intimate atmosphere, combined with attentive and friendly staff, creates a welcoming experience for visitors. Specialty drinks, including unique offerings like black sesame cream coffee, as well as fresh, generously-sized sandwiches, receive consistent commendation. Additionally, the pet-friendly environment adds to its charm. Common feedback highlights the small physical space and the absence of restroom facilities, which can limit longer visits. Despite occasional slower service due to a lean staff, customers appreciate the overall quality and care evident in the menu and ambiance, making Schim:Pause a favored spot among coffee enthusiasts in Berlin.
Very small and nice cafe with good coffee and small delights. The staff is extra nice and the service is excellent. You can tell that everything has been set with care and at its perfection. As a downside, I could say that they don’t have toilet, so it is difficult to stay longer. However, it was a nice experience besides I had to go home to use washroom.
Great cafe with delicious coffee, desserts, and sandwiches!! It has a great cozy atmosphere and of course is pet friendly!! I love to try and new drink every time I visit and I haven’t been disappointed! I loved their specialty: black sesame cream coffee, cappuccino , matcha latte, and of course their grapefruit juice is the best!
AMAZING coffee!! The best I’ve had in Berlin. The beans they used for the espresso were so rich and flavorful. French toast was 10/10, super yummy and not too sweet. The owners were very friendly and played great music :) Can’t wait to come back!
The coffee is GREAT. It's so rich that cannot be found easily in Berlin. The sweet drinks are authentic like having a drink in Seoul, I recommend their signature coffee with black sesame cream on it. The Bulgogi sandwiches is generous size with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend
One of the best, if not THE best coffee I had in Berlin. Their beans are from a Leipzig based roastery called GEMI which blew me away. The korean meat sandwich was also great and super fresh with all the veggies. The owner was very nice, but he was operating everything alone so things can be a bit slow. Definitely worth the wait though.
What a great coffee shop! You can choose beans for the hand brew from 7 different ones. They serve coffee beans from Gemi Roasters, so you can find something for your taste. Food is also delicious and the owner is very friendly! Highly recommended!
Cute little coffee shop, a bit cramped if you seat inside but alright. Cappuccino is great and quite strong compared to other places. Highly recommend: bulgogi sandwich.
No doubt: the best matcha in Berlin! After tasting it I was very surprised: it tastes so sweet (yum) but contains no syrup or sugar. Turns out their matcha has a touch of vanilla: you will LOVE it. It's just a tiny restaurant with a small menu, but both my drink and the sandwich were absolutely delicious. You'll regret it if you don't go!
